I am embarrassed to say that this was Andrew’s first time at the beach.  Joe just isn’t a beach goer.   Grandma Bee is, so off we went.  Andy didn’t even want to step in the sand when we first got there, but he finally gave in (not by his own choice).  He only touched the water because it bubbled and he loves bubbles.  He got comfortable and then loved it.

Joey loved every minute of it.

Blogging Marathon

I have my computer up and running (thank you big brother) and I have been working all day to catch up on my blog posts. I have not had access to my pictures for a couple of months, so I had lots to put on here. I am posting them all at once so that I can hopefully keep them in order. Hope all of the pictures aren't too terribly overwhelming.

Andy Is Potty Trained!!!

Not really, but that would be exciting. He has been showing lots of interest in trying to potty in the toilet lately. He wants to sit on it, but has never been able to make anything happen. Tonight that all changed. I asked the dog if she wanted to go potty and when Andrew heard that he said, "Mommy, help me" while he pulled at his clothes. He kept saying "potty" so I figured I would let him try. Well, he did it. He went pee pee in the toilet! Then a little bit later he did the same thing again with his clothes and asking me to take him. He then went poop in the toilet!!! I know this is a lot of toilet talk, but the first use of the toilet is pretty exciting for a mom. Joey took two full years more than this to do the same thing, so I am still surprised. It is definitely a great start.

Again!

Joey has really made positive changes in the last couple of months and it is showing up in his school performance. He got the Awesome Award again!

Big Boy Bed, Here We Come

Andrew figured out how to climb out of his crib, so I decided to switch him to the race car toddler bed. While I was setting it up, Joey came in and was very upset that I wasn't putting it in his room. I had told him that Andy would share a room with him when he got bigger and Joey wanted that to be now. I was nervous about putting my very good sleeper in the same room with Joey, but I gave in and now my boys share a room. It has been five days and I am still amazed at how well Andy stays in his bed. He might peek his head out a few times, but goes back to bed easily. What a difference from Joey.

Park Day With Grandma

We headed to Wannamaker with the bikes and took the loop a couple of times. The weather was perfect and it is so peaceful back there.

We hit the park in between loops to let the boys play too.

What's a day at the park without a stop for ice cream?!

Easter Fun

Joey is the coloring expert in the family.

This was Andrew's idea of preparing the eggs for dipping.

Grandma Bee even got in on the action.

Andy thought the egg holders looked like bubble wands.

Joey really wanted a red egg, so he left that one in the whole time.

This is how Andy's creations are made.

His finished product.

Joey ate nearly all of the celery that we left for the Easter Bunny!

They each had their own personalized eggs.

The Easter Bunny hid our eggs and left the boys some toys, candy and toothbrushes. He even nibbled on the celery we left him!

The boys discovering the goodies in their baskets.

Andy took a break from the egg hunt to put his tummy on the window. Only he knows why.

Mommy and Me Easter Egg Hunt

Unfortunately, Andy was really sick with a double ear infection and wasn't able to go to the egg hunt. Since I planned it, I was quite disappointed for him.

Joey had bunches of fun. I tried to take a couple of pictures of Joey and Ty, but they would never look at the camera. They had their eyes set on finding eggs and didn't want to waste time with pictures. Can you blame them?

Birthday Wishes

I helped the boys make cupcakes for my birthday. Joey is really good with the mixer and even better at licking the bowl.

Licking the counter, now that's a first.

Now that is what I call licking the bowl!!!

Andrew even helped frost the cupcakes....kind of.

Grandma helped the boys surprise me with a cupcake and a song. It would have been a bigger surprise if I hadn't made the cupcakes and pulled out the candle. :)

Joey's Mean Face

Joey really wanted me to take these pictures and then he had to see them on the camera. He is very proud of his "mean face", a little too proud.

Children's Museum Art

The Children's Museum has an outdoor garden area that you can paint it. It was a gorgeous day and this was a wonderful way to enjoy it.

This was serious business for Joey.

Andy was literally covered from head to toe.

Sidewalk Chalk Bandit

The water table wasn't safe.

Neither was the trampoline.

Tool bench? Yeah, he got it.

He even caught the slide on the way down.

Can't forget the inside of the climber.

He did miss one important location...

The sidewalk!!!

My Motorcycle Gang

Joey and Andrew played on their motorcycles out in the circle with our neighbor's kids. If you have ever heard one of these on the pavement you can imagine how loud four of them were, especially when you add in the constant screaming. I am sure our other neighbors really appreciated it. I didn't realize that I didn't get all of the kids in the pictures, but my kids are all that is really important, right?

Bubble Bath Fun

A Lazy Morning With Grandma

Camping With Grandma Bee

Joey LOVES camping and he talked Grandma Bee into having a campout in the backyard.
