Playhouse Disney Live

We went to Playhouse Disney Live and the boys loved it. They were in awe of seeing all of their favorite TV characters live. Mommy loved it too.

At Home Haircut

Joey decided to trim his own hair. He took his scissors during craft time and cut the hair on the top of his head. I was only a few feet away doing dishes, but he was quick! I looked over to see a pile of hair on the table and one on the floor. He also still had a pile on top of his head. I took him in for an emergency haircut, but there was no hiding the holes that he had made. The kicker is that it was the day before picture day at school!

BFF's

I had to steal this off of Courtney's blog. She snapped the picture when we met at the park. Joey and Ty have been best friends since birth and were so excited to see each other. Court, I am so glad you were able to capture the moment.

My Awesome Son

Joey got the Awesome Award at preschool today!!! Each day one child is given the award for having a great day. Joey has gotten the Super Singer award quite a few times in music class. Many times he has been Kasey's Kool Kat in recreation, but never the Awesome Award. Joey likes to hit, kick and disobey more than he likes to get awards. Today he finally had his awesome day. He got the Super Singer, Kasey's Kool Kat, and the Awesome Award!!! It honestly brought tears to my eyes when his teacher told me.

My Little Artist

Joey loves to draw and this was a picture he drew of himself and Daddy. To help with the words, the d's in daddy have flags on them (his idea).

Mom, "No, you have had enough sugar"
Joey, "When I eat, the sucker goes in my tummy and when I poop it goes out with the sugar. If I poop, then I can have another sucker?" (Big smile like he has really figured something out)
Mom, "Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha......"

He thought this was so funny. This is the most genuine smile I have caught on camera in a long time. I was impressed that it looks so even because he did it without a mirror.

I put down warm rugs out of the dryer and Joey quickly curled up on one. Andrew didn't know why, but he knew he had to do it too.

My Family

I saw this lovely family picture when I was going through pictures the other day. I had completely forgotten about it. I love how happy Joey looks and how oblivious Joe is. Notice poor Andrew.

Snow in South Carolina?!

It is extremely difficult to see in the pictures, but it snowed here. It was the first time in the five years we have been here. It didn't stick, but it was beautiful. I miss the snow so much and this gave me a glimpse of it. There were lovely light flurries dancing around. It was Andrew's first snow and he was completely oblivious. He was just happy to be running around outside. Joey tried so hard to catch the snowflakes. The night was completed with hot chocolate. What a wonderful treat!

Children's Museum

Today my mommy group went to the Children's Museum in downtown Charleston. It was a blast! It is so fun to be in an environment that is just for them. Unfortunately, I only took a couple of pictures and Joey was left out. Poor Joey! Maybe our group photographer (Courtney) will have some of him too.
Update...She only had a picture of his shoe, so you will just have to trust me when I say he was there and he had fun.

Happy New Year!

Joey got to stay up late on New Year’s Eve and watch fireworks.  He also got to burn his first sparkler.  He was so excited!

 

Andrew slept soundly through everything.  I was amazed since our backyard neighbors had some very beautiful, but very loud fireworks.
